The Prime Minister's whistle-stop tour to Bolton in secret yesterday was nothing more than a stage managed event for the Conservative party.

Her comments on Law and Order and Policing have angered me, our police force which was the finest in the world is now unable to cope with the demand due to cut after cut started when she was the Home Secretary with a cut of more than 20,000 officers nationally and over 2,000 in Greater Manchester.

This along with the cuts in Government grant to local authorities like Bolton has meant that Bolton has lost out to the tune of more than £170 million since the Conservatives took over in Government.

I am urging The Prime Minister to make a detour on her next visit to Bolton and at my invitation come to Little Lever see one of our most problematic area Dove Bank Estate a badly designed estate which is terrorised by youths day and night with little or no police presence.

One street in particular Third Avenue is the highest recorded crime area in a residential area in Bolton.

Come and talk to residents on a private housing estate next to it Bowness Rd which have had their lives made a misery due to lack of resources and police presence.

Cars are stolen to order by youths to young to drive, names have been supplied to the police by several methods but nothing done decent people are having to make claims on their insurance policies to replace vehicles being stolen and false number plates put on the cars in order that they can go undetected.

Residents ring 101 and wait for a long period of time and if they are lucky enough to get through to the operator more often than not they do not get a police response.

Areas like this will end up getting vigilantes because the public have had enough with what is going on.

Theresa May, your party was the Party of Policing and Law and Order you no longer are and I demand you stop this play on words and sort these crime problems out once and for all.
