TAKE a trip down Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles next week.

For the spectacular Andrew Lloyd Webber musical will open in Bolton.

Adlington Music and Arts Society are producing the show about faded silent screen star Norma Desmond, who lives on the fabled LA street and sees an opportunity to make her return to the silver screen through young screenwriter Joe Gillis, who by chance crosses her path.

But says Joe Simmons from the theatre company: "Eventually, as with all fairy tales, reality invades the piece and tragedy ensues.2

Diane Simmons plays the part of the leading lady.

Joe adds: "Adlington Music and Arts Society welcome back Anthony Williams, one of the finest directors and choreographers in the North West who never fails to put his own interpretation into his extensive portfolio of work. Most ably assisted by our maestro, Dave Dossett, ‘Sunset Boulevard’ is guaranteed to distract you from politics, but don’t forget to vote for your favourite politician on Thursday!"

The production opens on Tuesday and runs until May 4.

Tickets are £12.00 and concessions are available on Tuesday only at a price of £10.00.
