EMERGENCY services were called to Moses Gate Country Park after a woman had a fall.
A witness claimed he saw a high emergency service response at the when he was driving past the park yesterday afternoon.
He estimated they were there for around an hour and a half.
The witness said: “I drove past at around 2.30pm and I saw about four fire engines and two tactical aid units. Police and ambulance were there as well.
“I went past again later about 4pm and they were all leaving.
“It looked quite serious though.”
The Ambulance Service confirmed that a woman in her early 60s was taken to a specialist trauma centre after having a fall.
A spokesman said: “We were called at 2.45pm and attended with an ambulance and rapid response vehicle.
"One female patient in her early 60s was taken to a major trauma centre with breathing difficulties following a fall.”
The Bolton News has approached police and the fire service for comment.
