M61 southbound
POLICE attended reports of a man standing on the wrong side of a motorway bridge last night.
At around 10.30pm, the man was found by Greater Manchester Police on a bridge on the M61, next to junction four.
He was detained under the Mental Health Act with assistance from the GMP traffic police, according to a Facebook post by GMP Bolton Central.
The Facebook post read: "We've attended a report of a male on the wrong side of a bridge on the M61 junction 4, male has now been detained under mental health act. With thanks to @gmptraffic #InspJW #BRelief"
