AN estate agency that has helped “put the heart back into Horwich” is celebrating its fifth birthday.

Redman Casey in Winter Hey Lane first opened its doors in 2014 when experienced estate agents David Redman and Janet Casey started their own business.

Within 12 months, Redman Casey had become No.1 for selling homes in the BL6 postcode, according to industry experts Rightmove, and have achieved this consistently ever since.

A year later, the company beat hundreds of other, often larger estate agencies nationally to take the New Agency of the Year title in prestigious awards run by estate agency “bible” The Negotiator.

Early in 2016 – as a result of clients inviting Redman Casey to manage properties bought through the company – a lettings’ division was established.

David and Janet brought in Steph Paton to run the new business. This proved so successful that Steph was made a Director and now has her own team dedicated to managing lettings. The company has since expanded this division with the acquisition of another lettings’ company.

In fact, Redman Casey itself has grown from two employees to 12. Between them, they have combined experience of 125 years of selling and letting properties in the area.

But, starting Redman Casey was always more than just a business to David and Janet. As Janet explained: “When we opened, we pledged to put the heart back into Horwich. Local business pages ran this and we hope we have helped to do this.”

The company is high-profile in many areas of local life, especially helping Horwich charities and schools’ fundraising.

The business put on its own Horwich Home and Heritage event at Ridgmont House which not only proved a big hit with local people but raised more than £1,000 for Bolton Hospice.

It has also sponsored Horwich Beer Festival for the past four years for Horwich Rotary Club and the Rotary’s fashion show at Horwich RMI which raised £1,500 for local charities.

Concluded Janet: “We hope to continue our good work for the foreseeable future and, more importantly, treat our clients fairly and honestly whilst offering value for money.”
