MOTORISTS have been warned of severe delays during the day as roadworks begin on a key street.
Temporary traffic lights will be put in place on Chorley Old Road, between McDonald's, near the Moss Bank Way roundabout, and Montserrat Brow.
This will only impact on drivers during off-peak hours, but is expected to cause a high level of disruption from Monday, May 20, until Friday, May 25.
It comes as engineers from Bolton Council complete resurfacing works on a section of the road.
