POLICE investigating the disappearance of Maggie Smythe were seen searching a reservoir yesterday.
Firefighters and specialist officers were conducting searches around Firwood Fold Reservoir throughout the day and set up crime scene investigation tents at the scene.
Detective Inspector David Meeney of GMP’s Major Incident Team said police were continuing with enquiries after the body of the 29-year-old was discovered at the rear of the Red Bridge Pub on Red Lane in Breightmet.
"We have a team of specialist officers searching the area of Firwood Fold reservoir in connection with the death of Maggie Smythe," he said.
“Maggie’s loved ones are still coming to terms with their loss, and we are determined to give them the answers they deserve."
Christopher Taylor, 39, of Greenroyd Avenue, Bolton, has been charged with the murder of Ms Smythe and is due to appear at Bolton Crown Court in July.
