A WAD of cash and selection of drugs have been seized by police after a warrant was executed at a Radcliffe property.

Officers in the Bury South area conducted the drugs warrant after residents in the area raised their concerns. They have arrested one individual.

Police recovered a stash of drugs and several £20 notes during the raid yesterday morning.

Greater Manchester Police's neighbourhood officers thanked members of the community for providing information which led to the arrest.

The Bury South team posted on Facebook this morning: "Neighbourhood staff were out yesterday morning executing a drugs warrant in Radcliffe following concerns raised by the local community.

"A quantity of drugs were successfully recovered and an individual was arrested in connection with drug offences.

"We understand how drugs can affect the quality of life of individuals and are working to reduce the impact it has on our communities. Yet we cannot act alone and we need your support.

"We will act on whatever information you can give us. Together we can put an end to criminal and antisocial behaviour in your area.

"You don’t have to leave your name, just your information. We hope to hear from you soon."
