TICKETS are selling fast for a festival celebrating the sounds of the 90s.

'Made in Manchester' will be held in Bolton and showcase the best 90s music from the region's greatest cover bands.

The Oasis Experience, Resurrection Stone Roses, Happy Mondaze and These Smiths will all take part.

Also on the lineup are Bolton’s own The Jade Assembly and Our Fold, while DJ Dave Sweetmore will spin the decks throughout the day.

The event is being held by Pitch Productions and will take place at the USN Bolton Arena on Saturday, June 29 from 2pm until 11pm.

The Bolton News will be the official media partner for the event. In addition to the bands there will be a large outdoor cinema screen showing the Oasis documentary, Supersonic.

A festival 'foodie' village as well as outdoor bars and over 80 craft and premium gins will also be on offer.

The event is being held to help raise funds for grassroots sport at USN Bolton Arena and is also supporting Bolton-based charity Lagans Foundation, which provides support for families with children who have complex needs.

Karl Holbrook, editor of The Bolton News, said: “Made In Manchester is set to be an exciting event for the whole area and we are proud to be the official media partner. The event is sure to attract thousands of people and we can’t wait to get right behind it.”

Robert Brierley, director of Pitch Productions, said, "Our aim is to raise funds for grassroots sports and local charities and we hope the people of Bolton get right behind it and support what will be a fantastic community event."
