TRAFFIC patrols stopped a driver in Bolton yesterday after they were spotted "taking the chance" without insurance.
The vehicle was seized after being pulled over in Union Road.
A Traffic Offence Report (TOR) was also issued to the driver, who told officers his policy had ended two days prior.
Greater Manchester Police's traffic officers tweeted about the incident: "Another one taking the chance to drive without insurance.
"Stopped off Union Road Bolton. Driver stated that his own policy ended two days ago! Vehicle seized and TOR issued."
Patrols also stopped the male driver of a Ford Fiesta in Blenheim Road, Bolton, as he was on his way back from the MOT centre.
Officers tweeted: "Unfortunately he didn't check that his insurance permitted the use of the car. TOR issued."
