A PROLIFIC shoplifter has been jailed after committing 16 thefts.
Dean Clementson, of Samuel Street, Tyldesley stole items between December 24, 2018 and May 6, 2019 from various shops.
Among the items that the 27-year-old took were meat, champagne and a wall fire.
By committing the offences, Clementson breached a suspended sentence imposed on him on December 20 for nine further thefts he carried out last year.
He was sentenced to 24 weeks at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
