KEEPING your beloved pet pooch in tip top condition is a must for a happy hound.

This is why leading vet charity PDSA is offering free doggie health checks around Greater Manchester.

Vet nurse Kylie Jones said: "We know people love their pets and want the best for them, which is why PDSA is here to help.

"Thanks to support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery we can offer free, friendly advice and support, helping owners to make small changes that often make big differences to the wellbeing of pets in Greater Manchester.”

PDSA is on a mission to improve the life of all pets through preventive care, emergency treatment and education and last year more than 5,000 PetWise MOTs were completed.

The check ups include a check up, creating an action plan for owners to follow, nail clipping and ear cleaning.

Microchipping is available for a small additional fee.

Get your dog checked by a vet nurse on board one of the PetWise vans on Tuesday, June 11 in Peel Park, Ram Street, Little Hulton between 10am and 5pm.
