A NEW car dealership in the borough has got off to a 'flying start', according to its boss.

Hyundai opened its Farnworth showroom eight weeks ago after moving into the building in Bolton Road previously occupied by Jaguar.

Managing director, Nick Wright, said his team are overachieving expectations in all departments.

He said: “This we believe is due to the loyal Hyundai owners of the area and the fantastic opening offers supported by Hyundai UK."

Farnell Jaguar plans to relocate to its new showroom in Kay Street were approved by Bolton Council two years ago.

West Riding acquired the former Jaguar site in Bolton Road after BCC sold its Hyundai dealership two miles away in Bury Road.

Chapelhouse purchased the site in Tonge Fold which now operates as a Suzuki dealership.

Mr Wright said there are many "familiar faces" to greet new customers who will be made to feel welcome at the Farnworth site.

He added: "We are proud to deliver a very high standard of customer service and have many happy and loyal customers."

The dealership sells new and pre-owned cars as well as providing aftersales services.

Final plans for the refurbishment to the building were approved by the town hall last week.
