TICKETS to see the celebrity chefs starring at Bolton Food and Drink Festival will be up for grabs today, giving food fans access to a host of famous chefs.

The annual event is always popular, featuring some of the well known names in food.

This year's August bank holiday weekend festival will feature celebrity chefs James Martin, Gregg Wallace and The Hairy Bikers.

The famous foodies will host a series of live demonstrations and events over the weekend from August 23 to 26 in Bolton town centre.

The event is now in its 14th year and is recognised as the biggest and best food festival in the North, with more than 274,000 visitors last year.

The festival, organised by Bolton Council with help from Aldi, also won ‘Best Market Attraction’ at the British Market of the Year awards earlier this year.

Festival favourite James Martin will be notching up his 11th annual appearance at Bolton Food and Drink Festival on Monday with three demos across the weekend.

Hairy Bikers Si King and Dave Myers will showcase recipes at two cookery demos on the Saturday.

The TV pair will also be doing a special demo for adults only with ploughman’s lunch and a tipple included.

On Sunday, Gregg Wallace will conduct three cookery demonstrations throughout the day. Gregg will sldo be joined by a special mystery guest for his lunchtime demo where guests will be treated to a fine-dining masterclass.

The festival will also feature a speciality food, drink and crafts market with more than 200 traders, live music, street performers, and a family zone.

Tickets for other special events including a comedy night, a gin and rum festival as well as masterclasses with some of the North West’s leading regional chefs will be released in early June.
