A MAN was found to be armed with two knives and a hammer after he told door staff at a Bolton bar, "I'm looking for a fight."
Bolton Crown Court heard how Christopher Holden, aged 37, of Padbury Way, Breighmet, had been drinking and approached staff at The Swan pub on Bradshawgate at 5.30am on March 9.
David Lees, prosecuting, said Holden revealed he had a knife and told them: "I want to be famous and pick an argument and attack someone."
Police were called and found he had two knives and a hammer in his pockets.
He had not produced or threatened anyone with them.
Holden, who has a lung disease and now uses oxygen and a wheelchair, pleaded guilty to illegally possessing the items in public.
After he was arrested he told police that he did not know why he had committed the offence.
Judge Graeme Smith sentenced Holden to a community order for 12 months with the condition that he participates in 25 days of rehabilitation activities.
