There is always so much going on around Bolton during the week. Here's five things you can check out.

Egyptian tomb talk

EXPLORE Egyptology with guest speakers at the Bolton Library and Museum.

Dr Campbell Price, curator of Egypt and the Sudan at The Manchester Museum, will be talking about ‘Unwrapping the Two Brothers: Mummies, Manchester and Misrepresentation.’

One of the collection’s star attractions is the intact tomb group of Khnum-nakht and Nakht-ankh.

Coffin inscriptions identify the men as sons of the same woman, Khnum-aa, giving them their popular name: the Two Brothers.

Dr Price will discuss further investigations into the mummies and how they were transported to Manchester.

The talk will take place from 7pm-8pm on Thursday.

Tickets start from £5 and can be purchased on Eventbrite.

Ice cream fun run

IF you love running or ice-cream, then this is for you.

Time2Run Events UK have created a fun hilly trial race with an ice-cream feed station.

From 7pm on Wednesday, enjoy a hilly walk at Barrow Bridge. Runners will receive an ice-cream medal and ice-cream at the finish line. A one-mile mini milk race will also take place at 6:30pm before the 10K begins.
