A NEW Festival has been launched after the success of an event supporting a brave Leukaemia battler.
Leverfest will be held on Saturday, June 15, behind Little Lever Secondary School after the success of last year's fun day in the name of Ethan Browne.
Ethan, 14, is now in remission after undergoing weekly courses of drugs and chemotherapy in his battle against the illness.
It is hoped the new festival will become an annual event, with the proceeds going to Manchester Children's Hospital.
It will include funfair rides, food and drink stalls, donkey rides, a stage with live music and a football tournament among other things.
The event is organised by Ethan's uncle Dave Tildesley and there are still spaces for stalls to be set up.
