WELL it’s finally happened – the BBC have announced that the free TV licence for millions of people over 75 is to be axed.

The brutal act was pushed onto the BBC by the Tories who at their 2017 election had vowed to keep the perk. However, apparently they had already agreed to pass the responsibility onto the BBC way back in 2015.

For many elderly people who live alone and have no family or friends to visit the TV is their constant companion and also their way of keeping in touch with what goes on in the outside world.
