A MOSES Gate motorbiking store is relocating to a former clothing shop in Farnworth.
Motorbike clothing and accessories retailer My Bike Solutions has been based in Bolton Road since February 2016.
Last month, owner Tasadduq Hussain struck a deal to buy the premises which used to be occupied by Burton and Dorothy Perkins, in Market Street, Farnworth.
The fashion retailer left the site in January 2019 and Mr Hussain saw the property as a potential upgrade to his Moses Gate store.
Mr Hussain said: “I’ve been running the business very successfully but have been struggling with the day-to-day running of the store in Moses Gate, as there isn’t enough space.
“I’ve been continually looking for a new premises and when this one became available I realised it had good potential.”
The front of the former clothing store had fallen into a state of disrepair over the last few years, with paint work chipping away
Mr Hussain admitted that quite a bit of work needs to be done and anticipates that it will still be a few months before the store is ready to be opened.
He added: “Everything with the sale has gone smoothly so far.
“I think it will take a couple of months to complete the transaction and then another couple of months of renovations.
“It looks a bit rough outside so it needs a bit of attention and we have to make installations inside for the motorbike stuff.”
The upper level of the former Burton and Dorothy Perkins store will remain as Kearsley Muay Thai.
