Oldham's Jack Kilgannon looks set to get some major TV exposure next month.
The unbeaten middleweight, who has won nine out of nine, takes on John Telford for the Central Area title at the Altrincham Ice Arena on Friday, July 19.

The fight is part of the Ultimate Boxxer event, an eight-man, one-night, cruiserweight tournament with all the action live on BT Sport.

Now the Ben Lancaster-trained fighter looks set for a prime spot on the bill according to his manager Steve Wood.

“I believe they are going to try and do it between the semi and the final so it will go out live,” said the VIP promotions chief.

“That will be fantastic and it should be a good fight.

“Jack’s moved to 9-0 and it’s the kind of thing he needs at this stage of his career.”

The 23-year-old’s last outing saw him outpoint the durable Serge Ambomo at the Bolton Whites Hotel in March.

He has tickets available for his title fight on the Altrincham card priced at £50 standard, £100 outer ringside and £150 VIP inner ringside.

Contact him on social media for more information on tickets. Kilgannon is also looking for sponsors to help with his training.

The Ultimate Boxxer tournament itself sees fighters compete for a share of a £50,000 prize pot with fights taking place over three, three-minute rounds.

Four quarter-finals, two last-four contests and the final all take place on the night with the winner likely to make a major breakthrough.
