A FUNDRAISING sale helped to bridge the generation gap.
Harwood based Longsight Women's Institute awarded £275 to youth charity Harmony Youth Project through selling cakes, crafts and jewellery as well as holding a chocolate raffle.
Charlie Barrett, from Harmony Youth Project who received the cheque from Kath Hynes, said: "It was a pleasure to meet this group of ladies who support the community in so many ways, they are so inspirational with their hands on work, they have a serious agenda but also a great sense of humour and fun.
"Harmony Youth Project is all about networking within our community and works closely with Bolton CVS, we have a substantial amount of young people with issues who find it difficult to find their place of worth in the community, we allow use of our recording studios to many young people, in return we ask for their time learning job searching and CV writing.”
