YOUNG people have been learning how to stay safe on the roads while on their bikes.
Year Six boys at Bolton School have been taking part in a cycling proficiency course through Bolton Council's Bikeability scheme.
Bikeability aims to ensure life-long skills of safe cycling are ingrained at a young age, while encouraging a healthy lifestyle, boosting confidence and developing independence.
The course lasted for eight hours, split over two four hour sessions.
Schools throughout Bolton sign up to the course.
