SHOCKING footage has been released of a masked man robbing a store in Little Hulton.

The CCTV images show a man carrying a large knife around a shop, with a balaclava covering his face.

One of the images also appears to show the man reaching over the counter with a drawstring bag in hand.

Police have released the images to appeal for more information into the armed robbery which took place at Delta Supermarket, in Brookhurst Lane, on Sunday April 21.

Shortly after 8.30pm, the masked man entered the shop, with a kitchen knife in his hand.

He threatened shop workers and demanded money from the till, eventually leaving with cash, which he put in his white JD Sports drawstring bag.

Detective Constable Philip Kumeta of GMP’s Salford District said: “Since this incident occurred we have been following numerous lines of enquiry to trace the offender.

“We’re now appealing for the public’s help to identify the individual responsible.

“Thankfully there were no injuries as a result of this robbery, but staff were left understandably shaken.

“While the face of the man in the pictures is covered, he is wearing distinctive clothing.

“If you recognise him or have any information that can assist our investigation, please get in touch as soon as possible.”
