A WOMAN has been injured in a "serious" crash in Blackrod.
The incident happened after a car and a motorbike collided in Chorley Road at around 3.10pm.
An air ambulance and the emergency services rushed to the scene and police confirmed the woman was currently receiving "treatment".
Following the crash the A6 Blackrod Bypass is closed between the Cherry Tree pub on Dark Lane and Station Road.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and find an alternative route.
