A DONATIONS page has been set up to raise money to help pay for the funeral of tragic teenager Ash Farkoosh.

The 17-year-old Bolton College student was found in Thomasson Park, Halliwell in the early hours of Sunday by emergency services and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Go Fund Me page has been set up by Ash’s friend Johnson Junior, with a donation goal of £3,000.

On the page, he wrote: “Ash was such an amazing friend, an inspiration and a mentor to me and I’m sure to many others.

“This is why I want him to have a perfect send off.

“Bless to all those who are donating and keeping Ash in their prayers.”

More than £550 has been donated so far.

Friends of Ash have also arranged a meet-up, where people can people can bring flowers, balloons and donations.

It will take place at 6pm today, in Merehall Street, Halliwell.

Writing on Facebook, Ash’s friend Anna Strzelbicka said: “We are all going to get together to remember what an amazing, caring, helpful, person Ash was.

“Bring your flowers balloons and the memories you have with Ash.

“We are going to try and raise as much money as possible for him because that’s what he deserved an amazing send off. If you even donate as little as £1 on Thursday, me and Johnson hope to see as many people there as possible.”

A short memorial was held at Brownlow Fold Church of the Nazarene, yesterday.
