A CHILD suffered serious injuries after being knocked over in Great Lever.
Ambulances were called to Lever Edge Lane just after 7.30pm on Wednesday, following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
The boy, described by the ambulance service as being between the ages of 10 and 15-years-old, suffered serious injuries to his arm and leg.
A rapid response vehicle and an ambulance attended and police blocked the road between Aldersyde Street and Morris Green Lane while the incident was dealt with.
The boy was taken to Manchester Children's Hospital.
