PARENT and carer led charity Daytrippers will be getting a huge boost after successful fundraising efforts by supporters.

The charity hosted a quiz night last week with help from the Manchester Masons and Manchester Level Club and raised a massive £2,300. The Bolton-based group provides mutual support and companionship through days out and other activities, for families that have children with disabilities. The charity takes coaches of disabled children on days out which has an overwhelming impact on wellbeing.

A spokesman for the event said: "It was a massive success and with all our efforts we managed to raise a magnificent £2300. It was a fantastic night and everyone had a fantastic time. We hope to run more events like this in the future."
