THREE children were taken to hospital after a crash involving a bus, a lorry and a car.

Emergency services were called to the three-vehicle crash at the junction of Whalley Road and Peel Brow in Ramsbottom shortly before midday yesterday.

The trio of youngsters were taken to hospital with what are believed to have been minor injuries.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "We were called to Whalley Road in Ramsbottom at about midday yesterday to a crash involving three vehicles, a bus, a lorry and a car.

"The road was not blocked.

"There were three children with what appeared to be minor injuries."

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a crash involving three vehicles at 11.55am.

"Three children were involved. Three land ambulances went to Royal Blackburn Hospital."
