Bolton FM will be joining the event, hosting a roadshow, with other musical entertainment being provided by local bands, including popular ukelele group, Ukes Like Us.

Steve Tilbrook, the event organiser, said: "We are mega excited, we're expecting it to be a great day.

"If previous years are anything to go by it's going to be a big event. We've had thousands over the years."

“We’re closing Bury New Rd to link the Bridge’s site with Bolton Parish Church School, creating a larger area. This means we can also make the event bigger.

"We want to put on a nice day for families and bring the community together. We have got a great variety this year, there will be lots to do for everybody."

The event has been in the works since Christmas, giving the organisers months to perfect their Big Day Out.
