A LAW firm which has helped 100 long-term unemployed people boost their job prospects has been given a national learning award.
Keoghs LLP, in Bolton, was singled out for its contributions by the Festival of Learning for its approach to in-work and external projects.
In partnership with Bolton Council, Bolton College and Jobcentre Plus it has supported dozens of job-seekers through a work-based Team Bolton academy.
Nearly half of those participating went on to secure jobs with Keoghs.
Internal Staff are also widely encouraged to progress through law qualifications.
Cllr Martin Cox, the borough’s deputy leader, said: “This award is well deserved and a testament to Keogh’s hard work and community commitment.”
