A CONVICTED rapist is facing jail after pleading guilty to rape.
Vasile Nastase, aged 39, of Findlay Street, Leigh, appeared at Bolton Crown Court on Thursday.
The court heard the rape happened in Leigh on November 18 of last year.
Nastase admitted the offence in March after he was arrested.
Police found he had an identity card but no passport, seven previous convictions, including a rape conviction in 1993.
In 2003, he was jailed for eight years after being convicted of a violent offence, including robbery.
Following his release from prison, in April 2010, he was jailed for ten years for offences of sexual assault without penetration.
The case has been adjourned for sentencing until Tuesday, August 20.
