A BOYS’ school charity fun day has raised a staggering £6,772 for Bolton Hospice and the building of their own peace garden.
Pupils aged between 11-16 from Eden Boys’ School in Wolfenden Street took responsibility for organising the fundraiser.
Each year group offered a vast range of ways to raise the money, with 'sponge the teacher', henna painting, and fairground rides.
Bolton Hospice will receive £3,786 of the money raised while the other £2,986 will be used to create a peace garden where pupils can have space for personal reflection.
School principal, Sue Gill-Daintith, said: “Everyone had a terrific time at the fun day and we were so lucky it fell on such a sunny weekend. Special thanks go to the parents and the wider community for their continued generosity, help and support.”
