A BUSY main road into Bolton has been shut due to a crash.
Three vehicles were involved in the collision in Deane Road, close to the junction with Blackshaw Lane, at about 2.10pm today.
One person has been taken to hospital with what are thought to be minor injuries.
Firefighters were called to the scene, however, no one is believed to have been trapped.
Deane Road was closed while the incident was dealt with, and eyewitnesses reported traffic building up in the area.
The road has since reopened.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called at about 2.10pm today to Deane Road.
"We attended with two rapid response vehicles and an ambulance.
"One person has been taken to hospital with what are thought to be minor injuries."
