A PREFABRICATED cabin could be used as a nursery new plans have revealed.
The nursery would be located at the site of the former Hulton Health Centre, which is already used as a teaching facility, if the plans are approved.
The proposed development would cater for up to 50 children and could create five full-time jobs, according to the planning application.
It says: "The site was a former health centre established for some years and the current teaching entre has been operating without any detriment to the living conditions of residential occupiers."
The cabin is described as small in size, occupying 2.2 per cent of the 5,180 square metre site, with a smooth grey plain cladded finish.
The land is located off a small estate in Linnyshaw Close near Hulton Lane.
The applicant, Tafseer Rahimi, has suggested opening hours of 9am to 2pm from Monday to Friday.
The main building, which is open from 5pm to 9pm, has parking facilities for 34 cars.
Town hall officers are due to decide the outcome of the planning application by the end of August.
