A MAN has been sent to prison after police discovered a large cannabis crop at a property in Whitefield.
The 23-year-old man appeared a Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court yesterday after being arrested on May 10 this year.
He was charged with producing a controlled Class B drug.
Greater Manchester Police's Whitefield team tweeted about the case: "Two years imprisonment for Daniel Petrescu (23 years) at Minshull St Crown Court today for producing a controlled drug.
"Petrescu had a 25 per cent stake in a cannabis grow in Oak Avenue, Whitefield.
"He was arrested on May 10 this year at the address with the £100k crop."
