MORE than 60 businesses have signed up to Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burham's Good Employment Charter .
The pledge, the first in the UK,was launched yesterday.
It encourages the city region's firms to develop good, well-paid jobs and deliver opportunities for people to progress while supporting their growth.
Cereal giants Kellogg’s, accountants KPMG, Music Magpie, The Lowry Hotel and ITV are amongst the supporters of the charter.
Mr Burnham said: “Greater Manchester is again leading the way."
He added: “We have proud history of ensuring that economic progress goes hand in hand with social progress."
