TICKETS for an autumn of drama at a town's theatre have gone on sale this week.

Four shows, from family entertainment to dark puppetry, are now booking at Darwen Library Theatre.

On Saturday September 28 at 7.30pm it will host a National Theatre Live broadcast of 'Fleabag (Encore)' direct from London's West End.

The hilarious, award-winning one-woman show that inspired the BBC’s hit TV series Fleabag is written and performed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

With original songs played live on stage, brilliant puppetry and lots of laughter, this new show is a wild and musical celebration about the importance of imagination.

Things turn darker on Friday October 25 at 7.30pm when award-winning Box Tale Soup bring Henry James disturbing novella 'The Turn of the Screw' to the library theatre.

Featuring puppetry and a haunting original soundtrack the production was a sell-out show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2018.

On Thursday November 28 at 7.30pm the venue get festive as Olivier Award winner Guy Masterson brings his solo show based on Charles Dickens 'A Christmas Carol' to Darwen.

He brings characters such as Scrooge, Marley, the Fezziwigs, and Tiny Tim to vivid life.

Tickets are available for all four shows in person or by post from Darwen Library Theatre's box office; by phone on 08000 847 1664 and in person from Blackburn's King George's Hall box office.
