A POPULAR pub is back up and running after a new landlady took charge.
The Pineapple, in Blackburn Road, Astley Bridge, is owned by Admiral Taverns and was reopened six weeks ago by new operator Julie Crook.
Ms Crook says the first few months since the pub opened its doors again have been a success.
"It's been really busy and really great," she said.
"We've just started doing food and that's going really well. Food hygiene have been in and given us a five star rating."
The new Pineapple has live music every other Friday or Saturday starting August 24.
