HOUSES were flooded last night as rain water poured into homes.
Four homes have been flooded with rain water, with fire crews rushing to the scene at around 10pm last night.
The residents of the houses in Fawcett Fold, Westhoughton, were forced to wait until the rain stopped as fire crews were unable to pump out the water.
Fawcett Fold has seen multiple floodings, with one house being flooded three times in the last 15 years.
A spokesman for Bolton Central Fire Station said: "We couldn't pump the water out because there was nowhere to put the water."
Firefighters ensured electrics were made safe before leaving the scene after around 40 minutes.
