ONE of the rising stars in Boris Johnson’s government – and one who is very close to home – will speak at Swindon Chamber of Commerce's working breakfast next month.
South Swindon’s Conservative MP Robert Buckland was only elected for the seat in 2010 and is already a cabinet minister, having been promoted by Mr Johnson to the role of justice secretary and Lord Chancellor.
A barrister by trade, and having been solicitor general in the governments of both David Cameron and Theresa May before his promotion, as well as prisons minister earlier this year, Mr Buckland is well versed in law and politics. He will be speaking to the chamber’s political working breakfast at Doubletree Hilton, Lydiard Fields, on Friday, September 6 from 7.30am to 9.30am.
Tickets for members of the chamber of commerce cost £24 and for non-members £36 . They can be booked on the chamber’s website at thamesvalleychamber.co.uk until Wednesday, September 4.
