A MAN who was involved in a crash at a road junction in Oxford has said he sustained a head injury.

Two cars collided at the junction of Oxford Road and Littlehay Road in Cowley this rush hour.

The man, who was one of the three passengers in the car and has asked not to be named, said the oncoming car 'threw' their car into the pavement.

He said: "He was driving on the wrong side of the road and smashed into us. The force threw us into the pavement and we all have head injuries."

He is now at the hospital having a CT scan.

He said police looked at dash-cam footage and concluded that the driver who crashed into him was in the wrong.

Oxfordshire County Council tweeted an alert and traffic is slow.

Pictures show one of the cars involved in the crash completely mangled at the front.
