INDEPENDENT retailers across Bolton West - including Horwich, Westhoughton and Atherton - have been urged to bid to be named the constituency's best local shop.
Its MP Chris Green wants people to submit nominations via his website by August 30.
He said: “Our local high streets play a vital role in our communities, offering a wide variety of services and products.
“I wanted to run this competition, to celebrate the contribution they make to our communities and local economy."
