A WATER cooler firm in Bolton now has new owners, it has been announced.

Waterflo, based on the Kenyon Business Park, has been brought into the Office Watercoolers (OW) fold.

The South Staffordshire firm has been involved in a major acquisitions exercise over the past 18 months.

Bosses at the Rugeley company say they now have 20,000 units countrywide, of mostly mains-fed coolers.

The deal for Waterflo was secured last month, around the same time as OW were making a move on Poulton le Fylde's Brighwater.

Waterflo's new stablemates include three other southern firms, Phoenix Watercoolers, Aquastations and Smart Water Coolers.

Ken Skelton, OW's managing d, said: "Our carefully selected regional acquisitions which we fully integrate into our existing operations, reinforce our long term strategy of building a premium quality national watercooler company focussing upon delivering outstanding products and service levels in this market."

Waterflo made an impact in Bolton 10 years ago when it penned a deal with the borough council to install coolers in municipal buildings.
