Bolton boxer Amir Khan has announced he is expecting his third child with wife Faryal Makhdoom.

And the couple found a knockout way to share the news - with a boxing-themed gender reveal.

Speaking in a video shared on Faryal's Instagram account, she told followers: "Guys, we're having our third child and we're so excited and nervous at the same time.

"He or she, what will baby Khan be?" she asks.

32-year-old sportsman Amir, who is standing by her side wearing a pair of boxing gloves, then adds: "I’m going to punch the balloon to see what the gender is!

"Are you ready? Nervous?" he asks his wife.

Amir then delivers one of his trademark blows, bursting the balloon and sending blue-coloured confetti into the air.

"Oh wow, it’s a boy! It’s a boy!" he says, hugging Faryal excitedly.

Faryal already shares two daughters with the I’m A Celebrity star.

The couple married in 2013 in a lavish US ceremony with over 1,000 guests, before welcoming their first daughter Lamaisah in 2014, followed by 16-month-old Alayna.

They recently celebrated their youngest daughter's birthday with an extravagant rainforest-themed bash at Bolton’s Macron Stadium, splashing out £75,000 on the party.

Despite coming under fire, Faryal defended their decision during an appearance on Loose Women, telling the panel: “It was only fair because I did one for my older daughter.

“I think we work so hard and every penny we earn is for our children. I just wanted to do a big first birthday and for them to remember that their mum and dad threw them a wonderful day.”
