HAIRY Bikers Si King and Dave Myers cooked up a storm when they first rode into Bolton Food and Drink Festival.

And now the chef duo, loved by the nation, are back to headline this year's festival.

Si King and Dave Myers starred at the festival from 2009 to 2011 but due to filming commitments have not been able to return until now.

They said: “We are beyond excited about coming back to Bolton. We had such a great time last time we visited, and we’ve heard brilliant things about how the festival has grown since then. It’s a privilege to be coming back and it’s going to be lots of fun!”

The pair will be taking to the stage on Saturday, and will be one of a number of celebrity chefs to make an appearance over the four day event.

THE HAIRY BIKERS

Si and Dave have become national treasures and have been cooking together for more than twenty years.

They will be giving cookery demonstrations on Saturday at 10.30am, 12.30pm, and 3pm. The 12.30pm demo is not suitable for children as alcohol will be served.

Each session will be followed by a book signing, allowing fans to have a quick word with the two.

JAMES MARTIN

Chef James Martin's culinary journey around the UK would not be complete without a visit to Bolton.

And Bolton Food and Drink Festival wouldn't be the same without James, who is making his 11th appearance.

"I love this festival. To see it grow from its early days to the mammoth event it is now is amazing. It’s an honour to be back," he said.

The 47-year-old Yorkshireman has put together a recipe book, James Martin's Great British Adventure, based on his journey around the British Isles.

Visitors will be able to find out on Monday, whether he will be cooking up dishes inspired by his annual visits to the town.

He will be in the main marquee at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm. Premium seats are available for an extra charge and include a souvenir glass and guaranteed tables near the front.

GREG WALLACE

New to the line-up this year is greengrocer turned TV presenter extraordinaire, Greg Wallace who knows a thing or two about food.

He said: "I’m really looking forward to my first visit to the festival – I’ve heard lots of good things about it. I’ll be doing some cooking and am excited to meet some of the fantastic local producers and suppliers."

Gregg will be taking centre stage in the Festival Marquee on Sunday at 11am, as he shows people how to eat well for less.

At 12.30pm, he will be joined by 2015 Masterchef winner Simon Wood to deliver a fine-dining master class and at 2.30pm he will give a demonstration on to cook up a delicious meal on a budget
