FOOD lovers enjoyed a walkthrough of some of the Hairy Bikers’ favourite recipes this weekend — with more than a few jokes added into the mix.

The duo appeared at one of Bolton Food Festival’s cookery demonstrations and made Asian-inspired soy glazed salmon with pak choy, parma ham and peach puff pastry and chocolate chilli cookies.

The show went down well with a sold-out crowd and included gags about Geordie accents, Strictly Come Dancing and fellow chef Gino D’Acampo.

John Fort, who attended the first demonstration, said: “It was very good. I have not seen them before but I’ve seen other chefs here at the festival. They are so down to earth and just as good as any others I’ve seen.”

Elaine Burgoyne, added: “It was really good. They are very entertaining.”
