LAST weekend saw Bolton's fire service open its doors to both entertain and teach families about the important work carried out by emergency services.
The fire service was joined by representatives from the Armed Forces, North West Ambulance Service, Bolton Mountain Rescue and Blood Bikes, hosting activities for children.
Bolton Central station manager Andy Hardman said: "The weather was very kind to us and lots of people came through our doors to share what we do.
"We would like to thank everyone for their support on the day and to all those that joined us."
The fire service also raised money for The Fire Fighters Charity on the day.
