HUNDREDS are expected to gather this weekend to remember the life of Michelle Pearson, who died almost two years after a petrol bomb attack on her home that killed four of her children.

Ms Pearson died earlier this week in hospital, 20 months since the arson attack on her Jackson Street home in Walkden.

Ms Pearson children Demi, aged 15, Brandon, aged eight, Lacie, aged seven, and Lia, aged three, all died in the December 2017 attack, while Michelle spent months in an induced coma after suffering 75 per cent burns.

She did not learn of her children's deaths until months later.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Michelle's mother, Sandra Lever, revealed the news of her death.

She said: "Sadly last night, After a hard 20 months of fighting. Our beautiful Michelle gained her wings and went to join her babies."

The family has now shared that, on Sunday, there will be a minute's silence outside the family's home on Jackson Street followed by a balloon release to remember the lives lost.

A Facebook post from family friends read: "On Sunday 1st September 2019 at 3pm we will be doing a minute silence outside Michelle's house on Jackson Street followed by a balloon release. However, we are not supplying balloons so please bring your own.

"Also, we will be lighting candles, we can supply some, but again please bring your own if you wish. Flowers & cards also welcome.

"Let's truly show Michelle how much support she has had from the get go.

"The Pearson family would like to thank everybody for their ongoing support."
