GREATER Manchester Police are investigating an allegation of fraud relating to Bury FC.
The news is the latest development in the fallout from The Shakers’ expulsion from the Football League after the collapse of C&N Sporting Risk’s takeover from owner Steve Dale.
The police were contacted on June 18 but say no arrests have been made with inquiries ongoing.
The club were kicked out of the EFL on August 27.
"On 18 June 2019, police received a report of fraud involving Bury Football Club. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing,” a GMP statement read.
