STARS of Bolton’s vibrant theatre scene received the red carpet treatment as they enjoyed a night of glamour, glitz — and of course drama!
Bolton Amateur Theatre Societies (BATs) celebrated another successful year of shows at its annual awards ceremony, which took place at the Holiday Inn, Bolton just as the curtains come up on the new season.
Graham Cohen from BATS said: “It was another very successful awards evening.
“Guests enjoyed a bucks fizz reception and a meal before the awards were handed out.
“We had more than 200 people there and many young faces, who will be the future of the society.
“Unlike other award ceremonies nobody knows who has won or even been nominated for an award until the actual night.”
But added Graham: “The night itself is a celebration of everyone involved in the Bolton’s theatre scene, it is a recognition of the time and effort they put in.”
